If you need help, here is where it lives
The awkward part of a half-migrated site is that the help pages moved with everything else. If you are working from an old bookmark you will land on a maintenance notice, and it is easy to read that as nobody being home.
There are three official routes, and they are good at different things. There is also one that is not a support route at all, despite looking like one.
The official routes
All four of these were checked on 4 August 2026.
The contact page
Carries the support email address and a link to submit a ticket. This is the page to start from if you are not sure which route you want.
Open the contact pageA ticket from the parcel screen
The parcel list carries a ticket button and a consultation button per parcel. These are attached to a specific parcel, which makes them far more useful than a general message.
The shopping guide
Six steps with a tip under each. Worth reading before asking, because roughly half of first-time questions are answered there.
Open the guideThe community rooms
The official footer links a Discord invite and a subreddit. Useful for other buyers experience. Not staff, not support, and not a place to post order numbers.
One route that is not a route
The affiliate area is worth mentioning because it looks like a page and behaves like a wall. Opening it returns a sign in screen rather than any description of the programme, so there is nothing to read there unless you already have an account.
Two policy pages are open to everyone and are worth more than any support conversation, because they are the rules the conversation will be judged against: the returns page and the transportation policy. Both are linked from the official footer, and both are summarised on our costs and returns page.
One page referenced in the terms of service does not exist. The terms point at a prohibited items page, and that route returned a not found error when we checked it on 4 August 2026. We have not linked it anywhere, and it is logged on the updates page.
How to ask so that you get a useful answer
Support desks work through queues in a second language. These four habits make the difference.
One question per message
Three questions in one message reliably gets one of them answered. Send the one that decides what you do next.
Attach the order or parcel number
The order screen shows a number and a creation timestamp. Quoting them saves a round trip that can cost a day.
Ask for it in writing
If somebody tells you a seller will accept a return, get that in the ticket. A written answer is what you will be relying on later.
Do not ask about time you have already lost
If the window closed, say so and ask what is still possible instead. It gets to a real answer faster than arguing about the clock.
The words you will run into
Three letters do most of the work in this corner of the internet, and none of them are explained anywhere you are likely to look first. They turn up in order screens, in community posts and in the agent own emails.
QC
Quality check. The agent opens the parcel at the warehouse, photographs what arrived, and waits for you to say go. On this agent the photos sit on the order itself rather than arriving by mail, which is why people miss them and the storage clock keeps running.
GL and RL
Green light and red light, the two answers to that QC. GL releases the item into a shipping parcel. RL starts a return or a replacement and hands the decision back to the seller, which is the part people do not expect: the agent can ask, the seller can refuse.
W2C, haul, batch
Not official terms, just community shorthand. W2C is "where to cop"; a haul is one round of buying; a batch is a production run of the same item, which matters because two batches of one listing can differ.
How to judge whether an agent is worth trusting
This is worth having a view on independently of which agent you end up using, because the signals are the same everywhere and none of them are the marketing. The rename this site exists to explain is a decent worked example: a company that posts a notice on the old front door and keeps it there is behaving differently from one that simply goes quiet.
Can you find the operator at all
A company name, a registration number, a registered address. Not proof of good service, but its absence is the single cheapest red flag to check, and it takes about a minute.
Does the policy name its exclusions
Any agent will tell you what the inspection covers. The useful ones also publish what it does not: colour difference, measurement tolerance, whether sealed packaging gets opened. Marketing pages never volunteer that.
How do you hear when something changes
Prices move, routes close, companies rename. The question is whether you hear it from the agent or from a forum thread three weeks later. Silence during a change is the signal, not the change itself.
The other agents you will see mentioned
This guide is about one agent, but you will meet others the moment you read any community thread, and it helps to know what distinguishes them rather than treating the names as interchangeable. We are not going to rank them: service, speed and the risk of an order going unfilled have no public, reproducible data behind them, so a league table would be a number we made up.
Where the margin sits
Some charge a visible service fee; others charge nothing and take the margin on the exchange rate instead. Neither is dishonest, but they are not comparable until you convert both into what leaves your account.
Which lines they actually hold
The published list of shipping lines and the list available for your country on any given week are different things. Batteries, liquids and anything with a brand name narrow it further.
Which marketplaces they can reach
Taobao and Tmall are universal. 1688, Weidian, Yupoo and second-hand platforms are where support diverges, and that is usually what decides whether a given link can be ordered at all.
Frequently asked questions
Everything here is answered from an official page or from our own rendering test, with the date. Where we could not verify something, that is said rather than guessed.
Is Niuniubox still working?
The company is. The brand name is not. Niuniubox renamed itself Pikobuy, and the old site now serves a maintenance page on every route except the home page, which still carries the announcement. The new site names the same Hong Kong company in its footer and its terms of service. Checked 4 August 2026.
Where do I order now?
On the new site. Every ordering link on this guide points there. Old bookmarks to niuniubox.com sub-pages will land on the maintenance notice.
Do I need an account to look around or to estimate shipping?
No to both. The shipping cost estimator took a destination, a product type, a weight and three dimensions and returned a route comparison without a login when we tested it on 4 August 2026. You need an account to order, and the affiliate area asks you to sign in before showing anything.
How many times do I pay?
Twice. Once for the goods and the domestic postage inside China, then again for international freight once the parcel has been weighed and you have picked a route. The gap between them is the warehouse stage.
What is the five day return guarantee, exactly?
It is a service the third-party sellers offer, not something the agent grants. The official page describes it as returnable within seven days of the product being signed for, which it then defines as within five days of the product being stocked in the warehouse. The clock is 120 hours, counted from the hour after the order status turns Warehoused.
What does a return cost me?
For an unconditional return the official page gives the components: shipping back to the seller, plus the shipping the seller paid to send it, plus a service fee of 5 RMB. Free shipping at the time of purchase does not carry over, and the refund is based on what you actually paid for the product.
What cannot be returned?
Custom made items, anything whose tags or packaging you asked to have removed, newspapers and periodicals, second hand goods, anything bought outside the Chinese mainland, undergarments, adult products, food, fifteen or more books, and opened products that were sealed. Sneakers and sealed personal care items carry extra packing conditions on top.
Why is my shipping quote higher than the weight suggests?
Because routes charge on the larger of the real weight and a figure derived from the parcel size. The route cards show all three numbers, and the one labelled chargeable is the one you pay against.
Why did a route refuse my parcel?
Each route card carries a can send and a cannot send line. Bare batteries are the usual refusal, with liquids and powders close behind. It is worth reading before you buy rather than after.
Who is responsible if the item is faulty?
The terms are explicit that the platform is not the manufacturer and not the seller of record, and that it provides inspection and after-sales support rather than standing behind the product itself. In practice that means the desk negotiates with the seller and the seller decides.
Who pays customs duty?
You do. The terms state that cross-border transactions may incur duties, taxes and brokerage fees and that these are the buyer responsibility. The terms of service are worth one read before a large order.
Is this site run by the agent?
No. It is an independent guide run by a partner of the agent. Links out are partner links, the agent pays a referral share on orders that follow them, and your price is unaffected. We hold no stock, take no payments, and cannot see your account.
If your question is about this guide
Corrections are welcome and get made. If a policy quoted here has changed, or a link has died, or something is simply wrong, the fastest way to fix it is to tell us which page and what you saw instead.
If you are new here, what the Niuniubox Spreadsheet is makes a better starting point than this page, and about this guide explains who writes it and how it is funded.
What we cannot do is anything involving your account. We are not the agent, we have no view of orders, and we cannot chase a parcel, release a refund or talk to a seller. Those all go to the official routes above.
